Polycystic ovary syndrome or PCOS This is a hormonal
disorder that often simply called PCOS. Polycystic ovary syndrome is believed to affect about 5 percent
of women. It's characterized by a large number of cysts which grow on the ovaries. These cysts
are enlarged and often contain numerous smaller cysts along the edges.

Ovarian cysts Ovarian cysts are another common
ovary disorder. These are fluid-filled sacs, similar to blisters, that grow on the ovaries. These
are fairly common in women during their reproductive years and are typically harmless and will go away on
their own without any type of treatment.
Mid-cycle pain and discomfort This type of ovary pain often felt by
menstruating women at a particular time in their monthly cycle. This could be a twinge, a pain, a cramp or
discomfort in the lower back or abdomen. There may also be a small amount of discharge, sometimes with blood. When

Ectopic pregnancy This disorder occurs outside of the womb. Such
pregnancies that cannot progress to full term. An ectopic pregnancy often happens due to damaged fallopian tubes
and usually the embryo latches onto the fallopian tubes although it can sometimes happen in the ovaries as well.
